Gentlemen prefer blondes... but Zeta doesn’t look so sure

- By Alice Wright

THEY say that blondes have more fun. But, judging from her expression, it looks like Catherine ZetaJones is slightly less convinced.

The actress, 52, looked unrecognisable as she ditched her trademark dark waves for a platinum blonde bob in her latest role.

The Oscar-winner, who is married to Hollywood star Michael Douglas, was spotted on set in New Orleans as filming got underway for her new TV series.

Wearing a gold blouse and matching trousers, Miss Zeta-Jones was pictured heading towards a black 4x4 after a day of filming.

But don’t expect to see her new look on the red carpet soon – as it’s only a wig. The Disney Plus series, called National Treasure, is a spinoff from the film franchise of the same name.

The two action-adventure films, starring Nicolas Cage, followed a US historian searching for a hoard of lost treasure.

A third film is reportedly in the works as well as the TV series – although Cage is not expected to be returning.

Miss Zeta-Jones stars as Billie, a billionaire antiques expert on the hunt for lost treasure.
