UK sends in war crime experts
BRITAIN is sending a police officer and seven lawyers to The Hague to help support investigations into war crimes in Ukraine.
The delegation will be appointed to assist the International Criminal Court in the Netherlands.
The announcement – which follows £1million in funding committed earlier this year and the appointment of a British adviser – comes as ICC prosecutor Karim Khan QC visits London today. Mr Khan will provide an update on the progress of their investigation.
The UK and Norway will also deliver ‘war crimes investigation training’ to Ukrainian police.
