FOOD poverty, isolation and mental health issues came to the fore during the pandemic, but one grandmother had set up a community trust to address these problems before the world had heard of Covid-19. Sue’s family has lived in Fegg Hayes, Stoke-on-Trent, for six generations, and now, Nick Knowles and the team are helping them to transform a patch of waste ground into a multi-functional space — including a garden for people to grow their own vegetables.
