ENJOYING a care-free journey with a newspaper, the union baron threatening a summer of rail strikes was sitting pretty on his commute yesterday.
It is a far cry from the chaos that Mick Lynch, the boss of the militant RMT union, is threatening to inflict on commuters and holidaymakers this month.
Onlookers who boarded with him at West Ealing station, on London’s new Elizabeth Line, said he didn’t even have to wait a minute for his train. One said: ‘I couldn’t believe he was getting on the train like nothing’s happening.’
