Caught on film, orgy at the Paras’ barracks

Troops probe as woman ‘is smuggled in’

- By Connor Stringer

A GrOUP of elite parachute regiment troops are being investigated by military police after they were filmed having an orgy with a woman at their barracks.

Detectives are probing the recordings that show half-naked soldiers, reportedly from 3rd Battalion the Parachute regiment of 16 Air Assault Brigade, having group sex with the woman.

One soldier can be seen saluting as his comrade has sex with the woman, believed to be a civilian who they smuggled into Merville Barracks in Colchester, Essex.

In another clip, as many as ten young soldiers were filmed crowding around the woman in a room crammed with bemused onlookers.

Other sex acts, which all appear to be consensual, seem to take place in public corridors littered with empty beer cans and bottles.

While his colleague has sex with the woman, one soldier can be overheard saying ‘whose daughter is this?’ – before continuing to watch.

The royal Military Police are investigating how the woman managed to enter the secure facility and if any orders were breached. An Army spokesman said: ‘The Army expects the highest standards of behaviour from all their personnel. Anyone not maintaining these standards will be investigated and appropriate action will be taken against them.

‘The royal Military Police are investigating several videos appearing to involve Army personnel. It would be inappropriate to comment further while investigations are ongoing.’

Described by the Army as ‘specially trained’, the brigade is ‘equipped to deploy by parachute, helicopter and air-landing’. Its main role is to assist the Air Assault Task Force, and in recent years has been deployed on operations in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Last month at the same barracks, Corporal Phillip Marshall-Nichols was convicted of sexual assault after he pushed his groin into a private’s bottom while she was in a tea room. He was also found guilty of ‘pestering’ her for naked photos.
