Spoiling for a fight

-

THIS strike action is a protest against the Government. Concerns about pay, pensions and working conditions are twaddle. The union just wants a fight with the Tories.

No pay rise in two years? Get real! The RMT’s members should be grateful they have a well-paid job.

B. CHANNING, Pembroke. OF COURSE, Labour won’t condemn a strike. It wouldn’t risk the union barons reducing their members’ financial contribution to the party.

R. M. TYE, Uxbridge, West London. THE rail unions are well within their rights to strike and to hell with the travelling public. It’s those wicked Tories again, innit!

If Boris gets the weather forecast wrong tomorrow, that is definitely a resignation issue.

R. STILGoE, Birmingham.
