Self-defeating strike

THE RMT has a strange way of protecting its members’ jobs by calling a national rail strike.

If people can’t get to work by train, they will go back to the tried-andtested method of working from home. That will reduce the number of trains needed — and drivers.

But perhaps other occupations are not as well paid.
