I WHOLEHEARTEDLY agree with Martin Samuel that the England players are too tired to play in the ridiculous Nations League (Mail).

They have just ended the Premier League season, which came immediately after an intense run to the final of the Euros last summer.

The current tournament will take vital rest time before the Premier League season starts again. And then we’re straight into the World Cup. It’s madness. The players need a break!
