Emma: Fans expect too much of me

EMMA Raducanu has suggested that fans who expect her to keep winning tournaments are asking too much.
The British tennis star revealed her thoughts in a video produced by Nike, one of her many big-name sponsors.
The 19-year- old – now said to be worth £10million – stunned the world in September when, just months after her A-level exams, she was crowned US Open champion.
But in her latest promotional release, she said it was ‘unrealistic’ for the public to imagine that such success would continue.
‘After winning the US Open, everyone just expected me to win every single tournament I was ever going to play again,’ she added.
‘I think it’s a bit unrealistic because perfection just doesn’t exist.
‘I’m working on letting go. Letting go of being perfect at all times and being afraid to look bad in front of myself.’ In the YouTube video, for Nike’s series What Are You Working On?, she visits Canada Heights track in Kent where she started motocross and karting aged nine. She said: ‘I just really like the thrill. I kind of chase that.’
Her long- standing deal with Nike is believed to be worth £100,000 a year. Her impressive endorsement portfolio also includes an estimated £2million agreement with Tiffany and a £3million Vodafone deal.
Just last week, she starred in a campaign for Evian alongside popstar Dua Lipa.
She is also an ambassador for British Airways, Porsche and Dior and has a deal with Wilson said to be worth £100,000.
Injury-hit Miss Raducanu remains a doubt for Wimbledon, which starts in two weeks.
