The peckish puppy who turned into a piggy bank
IT doesn’t seem a tempting snack but Daisy the puppy still snaffled her owner’s purse and swallowed all the coins inside.
The 12-week-old bichon frise cross downed two £1 coins, two 20ps, three 5ps and thirteen pennies.
When Daisy became ill, an X-ray revealed the cause and she had emergency surgery at Derby PDSA Pet Hospital.
Her owner, a local mother-of-two called Ivana, said: ‘I had no idea a puppy would eat this sort of thing and we were so scared.’ Daisy is now recovering well.
