Amber: I don’t blame the jury

-

AMBER Heard has broken her silence after losing her bitter defamation case with her ex Johnny Depp to say she understands the jury’s verdict as he is a ‘beloved character and fantastic actor’.

An interview with the actress will be shown on US TV today and tomorrow, and comes two weeks after a jury in Fairfax, Virginia, awarded Depp more than £8million in damages after ruling the Aquaman star defamed him in a newspaper article.

Miss Heard, 36, said: ‘I actually understand [the verdict]. He’s a beloved character and people feel they know him. He’s a fantastic actor. I don’t presume the average person should know [what happened]. And so I don’t take it personally. Even somebody who is sure I’m deserving of all this hate and vitriol, even if you think that I’m lying, you still couldn’t tell me... that you think on social media there’s been a fair representation.’ Miss Heard has said she cannot pay Depp and will appeal.
