Up for a fight? Just go green
FAMILIES argue three times a week over ‘green’ issues – such as leaving the lights on, forgetting to switch the TV off and using the wrong bin.
A study of 2,000 adults, commissioned by the British International Education Association (BIEA), found that rows about putting too much water in the kettle and taking long showers are also common.
More than three in ten adults also say they have been ‘green shamed’ by their kids or partner and accused of not being eco-friendly enough.
Chen Sun, from the BIEA, said it was ‘encouraging’ to see open discussions about sustainability and saving the planet.
