Love, Victor, Disney+

BASED partly on the 2018 film Love, Simon — about a gay teenager coming out — this comedy drama, which returns for its third series today, follows working-class Latino boy Victor (Michael Cimino), who knows he’s gay but feels unable to tell his family. It’s a fairly chaste and generally family-friendly show but became a political hot potato in the U.S., partly because of its positive depiction of homosexuality.
