Seeds of success

-

AT LONG last, the Government seems to realise how important it is for Britain to strive to become self-sufficient in food.

The green policy of paying farmers to rewild the countryside should be abandoned so the land can be returned to arable farming.

Just like during the war, everyone should be encouraged to ‘dig for victory’ and turn every bit of land over to feeding our people.

Name and address supplied. AT THE end of World War II, Britain was far more self-sufficient in food, granted with a smaller population and less varied diet.

Today, farmers are unable to get the labour required to harvest fruit

and vegetables while being encouraged to produce more.

It’s time for a Harvest Brigade of offenders serving community service orders and the jobless.
