Shallow ambition

-

I WASN’T aware Michael Owen had a teenage daughter until he complained about her being on TV’s Love Island (Mail). A screen kiss is the least of his worries.

It’s sad that this type of show is how young women seek to achieve celebrity status. What a shame they feel they have nothing to offer but their bodies.

I thought the world had moved on, but Love Island is a more shallow version of Miss World aimed at voyeurs.

WHy are all the Love Island female contestants slim and pretty, while the men are muscular hunks? There isn’t anyone on screen who is ugly or overweight.

A case for the woke brigade to get upset about?
