Why my refugee family has gone back to Ukraine

BEST of luck to my adopted grandson, Ustym, and his mum, Zoryana, back in Lviv in Ukraine for Ustym’s exams.

Seventeen is a crucial age for a child’s future as A- levels loom and their results determine the future.

We tried to arrange for Ustym to do his Ukrainian equivalent here. We failed. So he and Zoryana have risked a return journey. He’ll sit the exams with his friends and come back to me in July. I can’t wait. I miss them. Good luck to them both. Stay safe, little family.
