Mrs Middleton’s novel way to cool down a hot dog

IT’S been observed that having three in a marriage can make things a bit crowded, but the Duchess of Cambridge’s brother, James Middleton, evidently can cope.

Though entrepreneur Middleton, 35, married the beguiling, trilingual Alizee Thevenet, 32, only last September, he’s swiftly come to terms with the French financial analyst’s intense bond with Mabel, the couple’s golden retriever — especially, it seems, at bath time. ‘She loves water and frequently jumps in,’ he tells me. ‘Sometimes by invitation, sometimes not.’

He’s referring to Mabel, of course — at least, I think he is . . .
