Musk critics are fired
ELON Musk was facing fresh criticism after his space firm fired at least five staff who wrote a stinging open letter against him.
A letter put on a company messaging channel, said: ‘ elon’s behaviour in the public sphere is a frequent source of distraction and embarrassment for us, particularly in recent weeks.’
Space X has fired the letter’s organisers, and president Gwynne Shotwell told staff: ‘The letter, solicitations and general process made employees feel uncomfortable, intimidated and bullied.’
Billionaire Musk, 50, has branded himself as a defender of free speech but his tweets were criticised as being ‘de facto public statements by the company’.
