THEY want to see Paul McCartney at Glastonbury – but it could be a struggle getting their hands on a ticket to ride.
Revellers said they face a travel ‘nightmare’, with more than half the trains due to serve the festival this week being cancelled because of strikes.
The typical Glastonbury ticketholder is estimated to travel 169 miles to reach the Somerset site. Many headed there yesterday ahead of the official start tomorrow. One, Sujeong Yoo, is jetting from South Korea.
The 37-year-old said: ‘[It’s] very worrying... train was the safe option but now it’s not [and] there isn’t another option. If there is delay... on day of departure, it’s going to be a nightmare.’
