Lotto jackpot of £55m is claimed

-

A JACKPOT worth £54.9million has been claimed by a UK ticket-holder.

The lucky winner matched all seven numbers to scoop £54,957,242.50 in the draw on June 10. The claim will now be verified before the prize is paid out, and the ticket-holder will then decide whether to go public with their win.

Andy Carter, from Camelot, said: ‘Our focus is now on supporting the ticketholder through the process and helping them start to enjoy their truly lifechanging win.’ Tonight, a further £122million Euromillions prize is up for grabs.

In May this year, Joe and Jess Thwaite from Cheltenham won the biggest-ever Euromillions prize of £1 4million.
