BBC stand by Vaughan

- By MIKE KEEGAN

THE BBC will stand by Michael Vaughan, despite his charge for bringing cricket into disrepute in connection with the Yorkshire racism scandal. The ex-england captain could have missed the entire summer as hearings are not due until at least september.

But he will be part of Test Match Special coverage of england’s third Test against New Zealand from Thursday. Vaughan was dropped by the BBC in November due to claims by Azeem Rafiq, returning in March. He ‘completely and categorically’ denies the allegations.
