It’s back to the fuchsia for star on Barbie set
SHE’S a Barbie girl in the Barbie world – and the colour of that world is distinctly pink.
Margot Robbie, 31 who plays the much-loved girls’ doll in a new romantic comedy, was all decked out in pink on the film set in Los Angeles. The Australian wore flared trousers, a matching waistcoat and a neckerchief.
Miss Robbie, who clutched an iced coffee to keep cool, stars in Barbie with Ryan Gosling, 41, who plays her boyfriend Ken.
Movie giant Warner Bros earlier gave fans a first look at Miss Robbie in character. She was seen posing behind the wheel of a pink Corvette in front of the Barbie Mansion. Gosling, who rose to fame in 2004 hit The Notebook, sported a bleach blond hairstyle.
The film, which is due for release next year, will also feature the new Doctor Who – Scottish actor Ncuti Gatwa, 29, and comedy legend Will Ferrell.
Former Neighbours and Mary Queen Of Scots star Miss Robbie is one of the movie’s producers.
Barbie is being directed by Little Women filmmaker Greta Gerwig, 38, who wrote the script with her partner Noah Baumbach.
