Railway ruckus

-

JUST call the rail unions’ bully boy tactics by their real name — blackmail. It’s a case of do as we say or we will bring down this country.

Why should taxpayers fund extortionate pay rises when so many private sector workers can’t increase their income?

It is fine for union bosses who earn far, far more than their members and have no fear of losing their jobs. When will the rank and file realise that if they continue down this path they are the ones likely to lose their jobs?

If the public have to find other ways of getting to work, school or medical appointments, they may decide not to return to travelling by train. The future of the railways is bleak if the unions continue in this way. This is a time when we should pull together.
