FREE AGENT POGBA SET FOR JUVE RETURN

■ PAUL POGBA will sign for Juventus next month after his representa­tives finalised terms yesterday. The former Manchester United midfielder left Juve for £89million in 2016 and will return on a free in July.

■ MANCHESTER UNITED and Brentford are awaiting an answer from Christian Eriksen over their contract offers once he returns from holiday. Ajax winger Antony, who is a United target, wants his club to listen to offers this summer but is valued at around £68m.

■ TOTTENHAM are focusing on signing a wide forward, with Everton’s Richarliso­n and Leeds’ Raphinha under discussion.

■ ARSENAL defender Daniel Ballard is joining Burnley in a £2m deal. Arsenal have also agreed a sell-on clause and matching sale price clause for the 22-year-old Northern Ireland internatio­nal. Fellow Arsenal defender Nuno Tavares is a loan target for Marseille.

■ BRIGHTON are interested in Manchester City forward Liam Delap. The 19-year-old is likely to be available on loan and could come into discussion­s as City look to negotiate a £40m deal for Brighton defender Marc Cucurella. Brighton are signing Ivorian winger Simon Adingra, 20, from Danish club Nordsjaell­and, pending a medical, for around £6m.

■ MANCHESTER CITY want German goalkeeper Stefan Ortega to replace Zack Steffen as Ederson’s No 2. USA internatio­nal Steffen wants more first-team football next season to ensure he is first choice for the World Cup in November. Should Steffen leave this summer, City have lined up free agent Ortega, 29, who was relegated from the Bundesliga with Arminia Bielefeld last season. Former City captain Fernandinh­o is set to return to his former club Athletico Paranaense in Brazil.

■ NEWCASTLE UNITED have completed the signing of Nick Pope from Burnley. Pope, 30, signed a four-year deal. Newcastle’s deal for Hugo Ekitike of Reims could be derailed by Paris Saint-Germain.

■ WEST HAM are finalising details to re-sign PSG goalkeeper Alphonse Areola after he impressed on loan.

■ ANDY CARROLL is in talks over a move to Belgian champions Club Bruges.

■ WEST BROM have confirmed the signing of former Millwall winger Jed Wallace on a free.

■ WOLVES wing-back Ryan Giles has joined Middlesbro­ugh on a season-long loan.
