Band’s 6,497-mile dash to stage

THEY thought their chances of playing Glastonbury were scuppered when British Airways cancelled their flight at the eleventh hour.

But Wolf Alice made it to the Pyramid Stage with two hours to spare yesterday. The indie rock band – made up of singer Ellie Rowsell, guitarist Joff Oddie, bassist Theo Ellis and drummer Joel Amey – managed to get an alternative flight from LA via Seattle to London before dashing to Worthy Farm.

Miss Rowsell told the crowd: ‘Wow, you have no idea. Let’s have some fun!’
