SHE suffered a ‘ devastatingly hurtful’ break-up after discovering her ex- boyfriend had been sending explicit messages to other women.

But six months later, Denise Van Outen appears to have moved on with a new man.

The actress and presenter, 48, dazzled in a sequin gown as she posed with 55-year- old property developer Jimmy Barba at the 12th annual Grand Prix Ball at The Hurlingham Club on Wednesday.

Mr Barba, who looked smart in a black tuxedo, was pictured holding Miss Van Outen’s hand as she walked the red carpet of the event, which celebrates the upcoming Silverstone Grand Prix.

The star, who has 12-year- old daughter Betsy with ex-husband Lee Mead, is believed to have been dating Mr Barba for a few weeks after being introduced by their mutual friend, All Saints singer Shaznay Lewis.

‘It’s early days but everything is going really well and Denise is happy,’ a source said. It comes after the collapse of her seven-year relationship with Eddie Boxshall, 49, in January.

Mr Boxshall, who she shared a sofa on Celebrity Gogglebox with, admitted to swapping flirty texts with other women. Miss Van Outen claimed in her autobiography that she found pictures and messages on his iPad.

She wrote: ‘There were also Instagram messages alluding to phone sex with a third woman.

‘I quickly found the woman’s profile by her screen name, only to discover I’d previously blocked her on my Instagram account.

‘Why would I have blocked her... Straight away, I unblocked her and sent her a message saying how she knew Eddie.’

Mr Barba appeared on Italian Big Brother, Grande Fratello, in 2010, finishing in fourth place. He also had a brief musical career, releasing the single Italia Ti Amo in 2012.
