A Big Boy Now, and appeared in Alfred Hitchcock’s last, Family Plot. Four-times-married Black took more than 100 roles and was described as ‘one of the hardest-working actresses in Hollywood’. Time magazine said she looked ‘like the kind of woman who gets her name tattooed on sailors’.

ANNE FEENEY (1951-2021). The U.S. activist and folk singer ‘with a velvety voice and lush red locks’ had on her business card ‘Performer. Producer. Hellraiser’. Her best-known song was Have You Been To Jail For Justice? She co-founded Pittsburgh Action Against Rape. Feeney toured Ireland on a bus each summer, taking fans to favourite spots and performing.
