Clubs on alert as Ramsey rips up £400k-a-week Juve deal
AARON RAMSEY is set to put Premier League clubs on red alert as he negotiates his release from Juventus.
He is in talks with Juventus to settle the final year of his contract and allow him to sign for another club for free. The Wales midfielder is ready to walk away from the Serie A club, where he earns about £400,000 a week, in the hope he can secure regular football with the World Cup just four months away.
Ramsey, who will be 32 on Boxing Day, would be attractive to a number of clubs. Despite his struggles under Massimiliano Allegri at Juventus, Ramsey remains a key player for his country and has produced consistently impressive performances. Along with Gareth Bale, he is the outfield player who boss Rob Page cannot do without. Ramsey’s differences with Allegri were made clear when the former Arsenal man expressed dissatisfaction with the Juventus boss’s training methods last October.
He said: ‘The training philosophy and methods are different in my club from when I’m with Wales. There are a lot of people working for Wales who have a number of years of managing me. So they know how to get the best out of me and allow me to play a lot of games in a row.’
