Extras hassle

-

SO BMW hopes to sell a vehicle, then charge the owner each month for access to extras such as a heated steering wheel, heated seats and cruise control.

I’m sure this will involve smartphone apps. It could be scary if your payment doesn’t go through and cruise control turns itself off while you’re on the motorway.

Hasn’t BMW realised that in no time at all someone, probably a 15year-old, will find a way to override the system without being detected and start selling it on the dark web?

Like many others, I have been driving for almost 50 years without the benefit of heated seats, a heated steering wheel, cruise control or satnav, so BMW won’t be seeing my money any time soon.
