GMB break for Garraway

KATE Garraway has pulled out of presenting Good Morning Britain this week to care for her ‘very unwell’ husband.

Former political lobbyist Derek Draper, 54, was hospitalised a few weeks ago. The TV presenter, 55, told in February how she had taken Mr Draper to the US for life-saving clinical trials.

She has also pulled out of her mid-morning radio show on Smooth FM. A source close to Miss Garraway told the Daily Mail ‘she has a lot on caring for him’.

Mr Draper spent 374 days in hospital after contracting Covid in March 2020. He was put into a coma for months and doctors said he was the most ill patient to have survived the virus.
