Real reason Bob fell for the riverbank
BOB MORTIMER says he has drastically reduced the number of times he falls over while filming the latest series of Mortimer And whitehouse: Gone Fishing, after finally buying his own waders. Bob, whose riverside tumbles were a regular occurrence during the first four series of the BAFtA- nominated BBc2 show, explained: ‘I borrowed a pair of paul’s waders when we started filming the show in 2018 and inexplicably stuck with them, despite the tumbles.
‘the new waders haven’t eliminated the problem completely. I’m still falling over — and it hurts just as much as it did before — but it’s not happening as much.’
It has just been announced that Mortimer has written his first novel. the satsuma complex will come out this october. his memoir, And Away, was a bestseller last year.
