THE BBC PROMS 2022 (7.30PM, RADIO 3)

will fill the Royal Albert Hall with the sounds of pomp and circumstance tonight in a concert of music for royal occasions. The BBC Concert Orchestra and BBC Singers will recall Queen Elizabeth’s Coronation with performances of Handel’s Zadok The Priest, Walton’s Orb And Sceptre and Parry’s I Was Glad. Among a packed programme of works by great British composers, they will also give us a song written by Henry VIII himself.
