ANNEKA HAS ISSUES, 6.30PM, RADIO 4

-

‘BOUNDARIES used to be the bit at the end of the garden, before your neighbour’s compost heap’. In this second of her eccentric and funny standup series in which the presenter looks back at a fascinating, adventurefilled life, Anneka Rice talks about going to therapy, but spending all the time worrying about her gutters. She asks the studio audience about their own therapy experiences and finds that many of them, while pretending to drink tea during a zoom therapy session, actually have gin in their cups.

LAURA COATES and Andrew Wrigglesworth (pictured), who perform as The Weeping Willows, are from Australia. Their songs, though, with banjo backing and bluegrass harmonies, hark to the lonesome cowboy sounds of America. The duo will be live on a special extended FOLK SHOW WITH MARK RADCLIFFE (8PM, RADIO 2) that includes roots music from the UK, India, Pakistan, Canada and Jamaica, ahead of the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
