LOVE Island has been hit with another 1,500 complaints over alleged misogyny and bullying.

Broadcasting watchdog Ofcom said most came after a challenge on the hit ITV2 show saw the contestants reveal who they would kiss, wed or hit in the face with a cream pie.

Dancer Tasha Ghouri, 23, was left in tears over comments made by men on the show.

The mother of contestant Gemma Owen, 19 – the daughter of ex-England football hero Michael Owen – appeared to condemn the behaviour.

A comment attributed to Louise Owen online read: ‘I feel it’s close to bullying now.’ Ofcom said it was assessing the complaints. Last week it said it had received 3,600 over a sevenday period. ITV previously said: ‘ We cannot stress highly enough how seriously we treat the emotional wellbeing of all of our islanders.’
