Strikes and delays you can expect...
■ July 29, 30 and 31: Strikes on July 30 by Aslef members across seven operators. Gridlock on major roads. More cars heading for Dover than last weekend with queues of several hours.
■ August 13: Strikes by Aslef train drivers with nine operators. Roads expected to be busier as a result.
■ August 18 and 20: RMT union stages walkouts for Network Rail and 14 train operators, with around 1 in 5 services running. TSSA union also strikes, covering seven operators.
■ August 19: RMT members at London Underground walk out, threatening mayhem for commuters and holidaymakers in the capital.
■ August 27, 28 and 29: Rail engineering works mean services cease on swathes of the network. Bank Holiday traffic could bring some major roads to a standstill.
