Borrowing burden
LAST MONTH, the Government borrowed £ 22.9 billion, which equates to £352 per person, to support living standards and services.
Are we moving towards achieving the best schools, hospitals and roads? No — as debt and borrowing increases, it can only have a detrimental effect on our quality of life. monies are diverted from investment to service debt payments.
Perhaps the Government should attend a course on debt counselling. This level of borrowing, which has never been agreed by voters, will be an ongoing burden for generations.
