SPURS DEFENDER RODON PONDERS RENNES SWITCH
■ TOTTENHAM defender Joe Rodon is in talks over a loan move to French side Rennes with an option to make the move permanent for around £18million. The Wales international, 24, is keen for regular football ahead of the World Cup in November. Spurs remain in talks with Villarreal over a £17m deal to sell midfielder Giovani Lo Celso.
■ KIKO FEMENIA, 31, has joined Villarreal from Watford on a three-year deal and forward Kwadwo Baah is set to join Fortuna Dusseldorf on loan. The Hornets have already signed Mario Gaspar from Villarreal but want MANCHESTER UNITED right back Ethan Laird on loan, too. Laird’s United team-mate
Eric Bailly has attracted enquiries from Roma and AC Milan, who are still in talks with Tottenham over a deal for Japhet Tanganga. United maintain Cristiano Ronaldo is not for sale despite his agent Jorge Mendes continuing to court clubs such as Atletico Madrid and Sporting Lisbon to see if a deal can be struck. Atletico have said a deal would be ‘near impossible’ while Ronaldo took to social media earlier this month to dismiss a link to Sporting as ‘fake’.
■ ARSENAL full back Nuno Tavares is joining Marseille on loan. The 22-year-old left back is due to have a medical today with the French side. Tavares saw a move to Atalanta fall through earlier this week. Marseille are also in talks to sign former Manchester United and Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez from Inter Milan.
■ BARCELONA have reached an agreement with Sevilla for Chelsea target Jules Kounde. The Catalan giants are paying £46m after Chelsea offered £55m but Kounde said: ‘Barca is a top step in my career.’
■ EVERTON have signed midfielder Dwight McNeil from Burnley on a five-year contract for £20m. ‘It is an amazing feeling to sign,’ said McNeil, 22. ‘When I heard about Everton’s interest I wanted to get it done straight away. Playing under a manager like Frank Lampard will help me to improve my game.’
■ LEEDS UNITED have signed forward Sonny Perkins, 18, after he left West Ham.
■ FULHAM defender Terence Kongolo is on trial at Stoke ahead of a potential loan. The 28-year-old Dutchman is not part of Marco Silva’s plans, nor are Josh Onomah, Anthony Knockaert and Ivan Cavaleiro.
■ WOLVES winger Theo Corbeanu, 20, has signed a new four-year deal and joined Blackpool on loan.
■ STRIKER Marcus Forss has joined Middlesbrough from Brentford for £3m.
■ BURNLEY are in talks over a deal for Parma striker Yann Karamoh, 24. They have signed Brazilian right back Vitinho, 23, from Cercle Brugge and had a bid rejected for Club Bruges defender Jack Hendry, 27.
■ NORWICH have held talks with Universidad Catolica over a £2.5m move for Chile midfielder Marcelino Nunez, 22. Norwich have opted against a deal for Toronto midfielder Ismael Kone.
