■ CHELSEA are continuing talks over Leicester defender Wesley Fofana and are willing to offer players as part of the deal. Leicester do not wish to sell for less than £85m. Chelsea have spoken with Inter Milan about defenders Denzel Dumfries and Milan Skriniar. They also offered Timo Werner to Red Bull Leipzig for Josko Gvardiol but that has been rejected.

÷ CHELSEA are signing Chicago Fire goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina for £12.3m and will loan him back. Kepa Arrizabalaga is close to joining Napoli on loan for £1.25m. ■ ARSENAL striker Folarin Balogun is closing on a loan to French club Reims. EVERTON are hopeful of a deal for PSG midfielder Idrissa Gana Gueye. FULHAM have asked about Chelsea’s Malang Sarr, Jannik Vestergaard at Leicester City and West Ham’s Issa Diop.

÷ LEEDS have cancelled the contract of goalkeeper Kiko Casilla. They are interested in Southampton’s Che Adams.
