SUSANS CALMAN’S GRAND WWEEK BY THE SEA, 8PM, CH5

SUSAN S lands in Weymouth on Dorset’s Jurassic Coast as her fun week-long seaside tour continues. cont The resort is famed for its historic harbour and award-winning beaches, so the Scottish comedian kicks off her visit by having a play in the sand. However, it’s not long before she realises her sandcastle-building skills need work and so she heads to the extraordinary Sandworld, which is home to an incredible collection of sand sculptures. There expert sand sculptor Mark Anderson gives her tips on how build the perfect sandcastle. From there, Susan heads a few miles south to visit a colony of over 600 mute swans, where she helps the team out at feeding time before enjoying the special honour of counting the new cygnets. All that work leaves her feeling rather peckish, and back at the harbour she tries her hand at some lobster grilling under the watchful eye of a Michelinstarred chef. Things go up a gear when she meets up with fellow Strictly chum Ore Oduba (pictured), and the pair hit the water on a thrilling jet-ski ride, enjoying the adrenaline-inducing speed and the breathtaking views. Looking for a bit of relaxation after all that excitement, Ore goes paddle-boarding, while Susan steps inside a B&B that is all about books. There’s more tomorrow night when the presenter heads to Tenby in southwest Wales.
