AS WE return to the most northerly mainland veterinary y practice in Britain, equine vet Tom (pictured) is dwarfed by his patient, a horse 16 hands high in need of dental surgery, while newly qualified vet Katie performs an emergency Caesarean on a cow for only thehe third time in her career. Back at the surgery, an owner has not one but two poorly pets in need of treatment: Mira, an old blind cat, and Edgy the chicken.
