Lady Mary is really hogging the limelight

I’M NOT sure what Downton’s Lady Mary Crawley will have to say about a pig being named after her.

For in a nod to the character, played by 40-year-old actress Michelle Dockery (inset), Highclere Castle has monikered one of its hogs ‘Lady Mary’. ‘We’ve named some of our pigs after characters in Downton Abbey,’ says a statement from the Hampshire pile where Julian Fellowes’s hit period drama is filmed.

‘ Highclere is not merely just a castle, it is also a home — to people and to animals.’
