Body Coach Joe Wicks’ worth falls by £3million
Until now he’s been known as much for his profits as his press-ups, but it seems the ever expanding fortune of the nation’s favourite PE teacher might have, temporarily at least, hit the buffers.
newly released figures show that the company Joe Wicks uses to channel some of his earnings has had a fall in funds of roughly £3 million.
the net worth of Joe Wicks ltd has now dropped to £4 million, when last year that figure was closer to £7 million.
However, it’s not all bad news for the burpee-loving, Body Coach guru — who was awarded an MBE at Windsor Castle for his services to fitness — as £1 million in cash as well as £3 million in assets remain on the books, although the cash amount has been cut in half as last year’s accounts showed it to have been at the £2 million mark.
‘Joe’s still got two sets of accounts to come in, so we don’t know the exact figures for his overall income yet, but it is interesting to see the drop for a man who’s been making so much money recently,’ says my man with the calculator.
‘During the pandemic, it was being reported that Wicks was making £115,000 a week, but it was always unlikely he’d continue to earn a Premier league footballer’s salary for ever.
‘interestingly, there is no pay disclosure either, so it can’t be deciphered exactly what he paid himself as a wage.’
Joe (pictured), 36, is married to model Rosie Jones, with whom he shares two children and also a house in los Angeles. But he and his wife have seemingly decided to keep the UK as their primary residence and bring up daughter indie, four, and two- year- old son Marley at their £4.4 million Surrey mansion.
Despite his talent for fitness, Wicks does admit to ‘emotional eating’ on occasion. Speaking earlier this year, he said: ‘i’m not perfect. i have days when i do emotional eating and sit on the sofa. Especially if i watch something painful on the news, or something triggers me and makes me feel really stressed and anxious.’
