Good samaritans
aFTER reports about members of the public walking past an unfortunate person who has had an accident or is unwell, I’d like to share the other side of the coin.
I had a nasty fall at Rickmansworth aquadrome. Lying prone on the footpath, my hand streaming with blood and feeling faint, so many people stopped to help.
One couple assisted me to a bench in the shade and flagged down a speedboat from the waterskiing club on the lake to ask them to bring over their first-aider to patch me up.
They stayed with me until I felt better and my husband was able to bring the car to where I was waiting.
It was so reassuring to know there are many kind people out there.
