Tinder chief steps down

-

THE first female chief executive of Tinder has left after less than a year.

Renate Nyborg, who was appointed last September, will step aside at the dating app in a shake-up by parent Match Group.

Match boss Bernard Kim will be interim chief executive until a replacement is found as Tinder said it would take a ‘step back’ from embedding new technology – such as virtual currencies and metaverse-based dating – into its operations.

Match said it expects sales in the three months to the end of September to range between £652m to £660m – results that fell short of expectations.
