Time to let go
I KNOW what it’s like to be told that my loved one is brain dead. I had to accept the decisions made by consultants because I knew they had not been taken lightly.
I have also seen the prolonged suffering of a relative with terminal cancer.
The best course when the time comes is to accept the situation and let the loved one go in peace. It’s wrong for those who think they know better to feel they have a right
to prolong the end of life with court cases and legal challenges. It’s not the best course for a patient who can’t speak for themselves.
