Bernie’s boy racer, 2, gets behind the wheel on day out

- By Eleanor Sharples TV and Radio Correspondent

ANY parent with a passion knows it is wise to introduce your child to it at the earliest possible age.

And Bernie Ecclestone has wasted no time with his two-yearold son Ace, who got behind the wheel on an arcade ride as his Formula One boss father looked on.

The 91- year- old, who all those years ago harboured dreams of becoming a champion racing driver, was enjoying a day out in Gstaad, Switzerland, with his wife,

Brazilian lawyer Fabiana Flosi, 44, who is Ace’s mother. They have been married since 2012.

Mr Ecclestone entered the 1958 Monaco Grand Prix but failed to qualify. Now the father-of-four is putting his skills to good use – apparently giving his son driving tips as he stood by the toy car.

In other pictures he can be seen walking through the streets of the high- end ski resort in the Swiss Alps, before bumping into a fan and posing for photos.

It is the first time Mr Ecclestone has been seen since he was charged with fraud by false representation last month after an investigation into overseas assets believed to be worth more than £400million.

Mr Ecclestone, who is Britain’s 74th richest person with an estimated net worth of £2.5billion, will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on August 22.
