Brutal farewell letter from Giggs’ ex listing all his alleged lovers is read out in court

RYAN Giggs’s ex-girlfriend wrote a scathing ‘goodbye’ letter to him naming all the women with whom she believed he had been unfaithful, a court heard yesterday.

Kate Greville accused Giggs of being a ‘compulsive liar and serial cheat’ in her letter which was read to the jury in the former Manchester United star’s domestic violence trial.

She added: ‘I stayed loyal and committed to you, no matter what, and what have I got for it? Nothing at all.’

PR guru Miss Greville, 38, wrote the letter on October 29, 2020, three days before she was allegedly attacked by Giggs during a row at the former Wales manager’s home, Manchester Crown Court heard.

It was not sent to Giggs, 48, but is part of evidence including messages and emails on her electronic devices submitted to the court.

She told friends she planned to move out while he was away on a tour and leave the letter, called ‘A Final Goodbye’, behind.

Seven of the eight women’s first names – Helen, Zara, Natalie, Susie, Kelly, Charlotte and Steph – were read to the court.

One of Miss Greville’s friends, who was shown the letter, described the contents as ‘better than watching Jeremy Kyle’.

Miss Greville wrote: ‘I know pretty much everything you’ve been doing with other women behind my back since the day I met you.

‘My gut always told me that you couldn’t be trusted and you were a compulsive liar and serial cheat. I wanted to believe the things you told me and I really loved you.

‘But I know now you say the same things you say to me to multiple women.’

The first woman she identified was Helen, who Miss Greville said had stayed with him in The Stafford, a five-star hotel in London’s West End.

She wrote: ‘You and Helen were in a full- on relationship while you were sleeping with me. She met your kids, family and stayed in The Stafford with you. You paid for her to fly with you to Barcelona. You told her that you loved her, wanted to marry her and have kids.

‘You’re in constant contact with her even now.’

Turning to a second woman, Zara, Miss Greville said that relationship went on for a year while she was in Abu Dhabi in 2016/17.

She said: ‘ Stacey [Giggs’ exwife] and so many other people knew about it.

‘You would get your guy from Harrods to send her shoes, clothes and dresses.’

Detailing further women she claimed Giggs had flings with, Miss Greville wrote: ‘I know about Natalie and Susie. All going on when you were with me, not to mention Kelly.

‘You met a woman at The Stafford that you confused me for. I know you were sending messages about sex and threesomes with Charlotte from Hotel Football [a hotel Giggs co-owns by Manchester United’s ground].

‘I know about Steph. She’s married to that cricketer now. You were having sex with her on tour in Washington.

‘Don’t forget XXXXX [name redacted]. It gives me a smug smile every time I see her.’

Miss Greville said she did not want to confront Giggs face-toface ‘because you would just tell me lies’ and ‘make me feel bad for accusing you’.

She also said that she planned a legal fight over the ownership of their golden retriever puppy, Mac. ‘He’s as much mine as yours and you dip in and out of his life,’ she wrote.

‘If you want to fight me for him, that’s your prerogative. I think after everything you’ve put me through I deserve to have something good from this relationship but you don’t agree.’

She concluded: ‘I am sad you could never be honest with me about everything.

‘I will probably never properly come to terms with the fact that my life with you over six years is a lie.

‘A little advice, if you want to be happy with someone, don’t lie and don’t cheat. I can’t see

anything changing with you.’ Signing off as ‘K’, she added: ‘Goodbye Ryan, it has been extremely emotional.’

The day before sending a draft of the letter to her friend on October 29, Miss Greville had a friendly exchange with Giggs, saying she missed him and calling him ‘babes’.

Giggs wrote: ‘Missing me?’ Miss Greville replied: ‘Very much babes, you miss me?’ Giggs then said: ‘That much I’m coming straight home.’

Earlier on in yesterday’s hearing, the jury heard hundreds more messages exchanged between Miss Greville and the former footballer.

In one, Giggs made a play on Miss Greville’s surname, say

ing: ‘G is for gorgeous, R is for radiant, E is for extraordinary, V is for vivacious, I is for idolised by me, L is for legs, L is for legs, E is for everything I’ve ever wanted.’

In another, Giggs wrote: ‘ You are the jam in my donut [sic], the truffle in my pasta, the salt in my tequila’.

Meanwhile, Miss Greville, at the time working in the Middle East, said: ‘I keep thinking of you in the night.

‘Ten days [from] now I’ll be home for Christmas then we can have lots of organisms [sic]. I

‘You are the jam in my donut’

can’t wait to get you between the sheets’. She also wrote: ‘I’m counting down the daze [sic], I’m thinking of the ways, I’m going to make that gorgeous ***k of yours raise’.

Jurors also heard messages relating to fall outs between Giggs and Miss Greville.

She accused him of making her ‘feel like a whore’ after taking a taxi back to his hotel alone after a row in a Dubai restaurant, when they argued over him spending time during the meal on the phone to his daughter.

Giggs denies controlling or coercive behaviour and assault occasioning actual bodily harm against Miss Greville, and common assault against her sister Emma Greville, 26, during a scuffle over a phone.

The trial continues.
