IN THE final episode of this heartwarming series, Davina McCall and Nicky Campbell catch up with the former Premier League footballer Dominic Matteo, who was determined to find his birth mother after being diagnosed with a brain tumour. It’s been an incredibly emotional time — ‘I’ve probably cried more in the last two years than I’ve ever done in my life,’ admits the former Liverpool and Leeds defender — but will this be a tale with a happy ending? The second story catches up with Wendy O’Hagan from Derry, a decade after she was reunited with her dad, Grant Williams. In a cruel turn of events, Grant has recently been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, and father and daughter (pictured) must make the most of every second they have together. Finally, Colin Deering — who first met his brother Bryan back in 2014 — starts out on a whole new journey to find out about his birth father. It’s a quest that has consequences no one could ever have imagined.
