VILLA’S PUSH TO AGREE CONTRACT WITH £25M SARR

■ ASTON VILLA have agreed a fee of around £25million for Watford’s Ismaila Sarr but the deal is still in doubt. Talks were ongoing last night with the Senegal forward, 24. Sarr spoke to Steven Gerrard on Saturday but personal terms are still to be thrashed out. Sarr, who was also being pursued by Crystal Palace, missed Watford’s game against Preston North End along with team-mate Joao Pedro, who remains the subject of a £30m offer from NEWCASTLE.

÷ NOTTINGHAM FOREST are exploring a loan for Tottenham full-back Sergio Reguilon. Lazio and Villarreal have also made enquiries for the 25-year-old who is nursing an injury but is surplus to requirements at Spurs. Valencia are planning further talks over a loan proposal for Spurs’ Bryan Gil this week.

■ WOLVES have rejected a £1m offer from Nottingham Forest for Willy Boly. Forest are likely to raise their bid to £2m. They want a centre back after losing Moussa Niakhate for at least two months to a hamstring injury. Wolves are keen to add a replacement for Boly.

÷ CRYSTAL PALACE are keen on Leicester midfielder Boubakary Soumare while Club Bruges are interested in Dennis Praet. Bruges midfielder Hans Vanaken has confirmed he wants to join WEST HAM, with further talks planned today. ‘Clearly there is interest, enough has been written about it,’ said the 29-year-old. ‘New talks tomorrow and we’ll see where it ends. It could be my last chance and I want to do it.’

■ WEST HAM are closing on a £15m deal for Chelsea left back Emerson. The deal had initially collapsed over fees and personal terms but all parties are working on a compromise. West Ham will pay £12m plus £3m in add-ons. Arsenal’s Ainsley Maitland-Niles has also been discussed as an option for David Moyes.

÷ ARSENAL forward Nicolas Pepe held further talks over a move to French side Nice over the weekend. Nice have also considered Manchester United’s Amad Diallo if they fail to reach a deal for Pepe. Amad is also wanted by Sunderland.

■ CHELSEA defender Trevoh Chalobah is attracting interest from Tottenham, Roma and Inter. The 23-year-old could be allowed to leave on loan and Aston Villa are monitoring developments. Spurs have resumed talks with AC Milan over a loan with obligation to buy for Japhet Tanganga.

÷ FULHAM forward Rodrigo Muniz, 21, has completed his season-long loan move to MIDDLESBROUGH.

■ LEEDS are in talks to sign Celtic goalkeeping prospect Rory Mahady, 15.
