EVERTON BID TO SEAL DEAL FOR £14M GARNER
■ EVERTON are in talks over a £14million deal for Manchester United midfielder James Garner. The Old Trafford club completed the £84.4m signing of Antony from Ajax yesterday and are finalising a £6m loan for Newcastle keeper Martin Dubravka following his medical. They are maintaining a watching brief on Barcelona right back Sergino Dest in case late offers arrive for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, but are reluctant to sell. Winger Amad

■ LEICESTER are closing in on a £15m deal for Reims defender Wout Faes. The Belgium star has been pulled out of tonight’s French league fixture at Angers after Reims accepted the offer yesterday. The 24-year old Faes (right) has agreed a five-year contract. The Foxes have also asked about Nice centre back Jean-Clair Todibo. West Ham’s Craig Dawson was also discussed. The 32-year-old has interest from Aston Villa but is
leaning towards a move to WOLVES if manager David Moyes lets him go. West Ham are interested in Southampton’s Jan Bednarek, another on Villa’s wish list. West Ham’s Emmanuel Longelo has joined Birmingham on loan.
■ EVERTON will complete the signing of Idrissa Gana Gueye on a two-year deal pending a medical today. Everton have also revived interest in Watford forward Joao Pedro.
■ BRIGHTON are close to an agreement with Chelsea for midfielder Billy Gilmour. CHELSEA defender Ethan Ampadu is joining Spezia on
loan while midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, who has been on loan at AC Milan, is looking to cancel his Chelsea contract and join Monza. Baba Rahman is in talks to rejoin Reading.
■ NOTTINGHAM FOREST have agreed a £2.25m fee with Wolves for defender Willy Boly. The fee could rise to £4.65m. Forest also want BLACKPOOL winger Josh Bowler. MIDDLESBROUGH are hoping to land Forest striker Sam Surridge.
■ LIVERPOOL defender Sepp van den Berg, 20, has signed a new deal and joined Schalke on loan. STOKE are keen on a loan for Celtic’s James McCarthy.
■ FULHAM full-back Joe Bryan is in talks to join French side Nice. Fulham are interested in Cedric Soares of ARSENAL.
■ BLACKBURN are signing Leicester City striker George Hirst on loan.
■ EVERTON and Leeds remain in the hunt for PSV’s Cody Gakpo. Southampton had a £21.9m bid rejected on Monday.
■ ASTON VILLA’S Douglas Luiz is attracting interest from ATLETICO MADRID, who signed Sergio Reguilon on loan from TOTTENHAM yesterday.
